Blood Orange, aka in-demand pop producer Devonté Hynes, releases his solo LP Cupid Deluxe on November 18 through Domino. He’s already let go the track “Chamakay” and now he’s shared a lyric video for “You’re Not Good Enough”. Check out the clip, shot by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, below, which centers on images of Hynes’ loafer-clad feet walking down the street. The video feels like a brain undergoing a period of a relationship breakup, talking to itself with all the wondering thoughts of should/nt, was/nt, would/nt, and yadda yadda bla bla… pretty good lyrical construction.

I accidentally stumbled over this German artist called Milky Chance. Charismatic, self-contained, but rooted in a variety of genres and very fresh. A challenge to the monotony! The album is very close to brilliant!

On Sadnecessary lines are blurred between alternative, acoustic-rock, reggae and pop. Milky Chance’s music is as universally appealing as it gets. Like it or not, this is pop music that your parents like, your little sister likes and music your hippie friend swears by. So you might as well get used to it.

Michael Cina is principle of the multi-disciplinary design studio, Cina Associates located in Minneapolis, MN. In 2001 he started up the internationally-known WeWorkForThem design agency and YouWorkForThem design boutique. He has experimented with many forms of design and is well known for his typographic work. Mike also spent many years as an online artist and freelancer creating successful projects like Trueistrue.com which brought a whole new design approach to web development, interaction, motion, and time. Mike continues to explore design styles such as Bauhaus, Modernism, Swiss, and Constructivism, melding them into abstract, complex grids that create functional design developments.

The full scope involves almost 100 paintings, two of the paintings being 20 feet long, flying to NYC to be filmed painting a 6 foot portrait, another porttrait that took 2 months to paint, a custom typeface, and countless designs. There will be four singles to come off this record as well, each requiring new pieces as well. “

New track by Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, they release their new album, Mature Themes, on August.

This is the work of a genius – “LA native Pink (born Ariel Rosenberg) first began writing and recording the sixteen-minute sprawling epic ten years ago while the events of September 11, 2001 began to unfold. ‘Witchhunt Suite For WWIII’ was originally released in two parts on a limited tour-only CD-R in 2007 entitled Yas Dudette, but Pink wished to make a newly recorded version of the song available in its entirety in tribute to the tenth anniversary of 9/11.”
